Asia AI News 6 August 2019 –    There much talk about unicorns this week, as market intelligence firm CB Insights released its venture capital analysis a few days ago. ‘Unicorn’ generally refers to a privately held startup valued at more than $1 billion. Now everyone wants one!

CB Insights estimates that there were 380 unicorns globally at the end of July 2019, up about 50 percent from a year earlier. The firm counted 187 unicorns in the U.S., 94 in China, 19 in Britain and 18 in India.
